Are we supposed to hate Ivy? I assume eventually the show will make us hate Ivy so Karen can be the big star and we don’t feel bad about her beating out someone who’s actually paid her dues, and yet so far Ivy seems equally likable. But the previews suggest she’s going to sleep with the director, and I really hope that is not how they make us hate Ivy, because that would be slut shaming at its worst.
“Oh Karen didn’t sleep with that dude, and Ivy did so she’s horrible and Karen gets to be the star.” That would just be shitty.
I think the bigger question though is whether or not I will actually continue to watch this show.
